Terms of Use
This page explains the rules that apply when you commission a custom storybook, order a print-ready layout, or download one of our activity kits. Please read it before starting a project so we both know what to expect.
Two Town Mice is an independent illustration studio. We create original children's picture books, character designs, and handcrafted illustrations for families, schools, and small publishers. Each commission is delivered as digital files unless we agree otherwise in writing before the project begins.
When you send us a story idea or reference material, you confirm that you have the right to use it. You are responsible for reviewing the draft at each agreed stage and for providing clear feedback within the time we set together. Delays in feedback may shift the delivery date.
We commit to delivering the agreed illustrations and layouts in the style shown in our portfolio. We will keep you informed if a deadline changes and will revise the artwork according to the number of revision rounds stated in your project brief.
For personal commissions, you receive a license to print and share the finished storybook for non-commercial family use. For publishing projects, full copyright transfer is handled by a separate agreement that names the exact rights, territory, and print run. We keep the right to show non-exclusive samples of our work in our portfolio unless we agree otherwise.
Our work is delivered as digital artwork and print-ready files. We are not responsible for printing errors caused by a third-party printer, for colors shifting on uncalibrated screens, or for how a finished book is used after delivery. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the specific project in question.
You may pause or cancel a commission at any time by emailing us. If a project is cancelled after we have started the artwork, we will invoice for the completed stages and refund any unused portion of a prepaid balance. We may end a project if we receive abusive messages or if a request falls outside the scope of children's storytelling.
We may update this page when our process changes. The version posted here applies to any new project started after the update date. For questions about these terms or about a specific commission, contact us at info@twotownmice.com.
